No Emotion
The whole objective was to make a one minute film for editing class,
{first project}. My vision was to to make it fast pace between scenes so no emotional response is provoked in the viewer. This is a practice in breaking the rules of film making I am fascinated with.

My Monday was different this week
After working 31hours as the Key Grip on a student film "Fetching" to get my intern hours, I decided to take a day for myself and do a ride to catch some leaf color. It looks like it paid off, Aspens were peaking with color.
Being so busy with school {15 credits} and working to pay the bills every chance on the bike is a welcomed one
Another shot of Matt on Aspen vista road.
Looking towards Santa Fe 3,500 feet below
Donovan chugging along at the top 12,000 feet
Lake Peak forground and Penitente Peak in the background.
My ride that I love so much.

Bezerko
Another great ride with Donavanstein climbing Pacheco Canyon Rd. and dropping down Borrego trail at Aspen Ranch and then descending Rio en Medio trail and back to car. Summer days are numbered and I want to get in as many high altitude rides in as possible before I have to resort back to the desert trails. Fiestas started this weekend and Zozobra burns on Thursday night, all the fucking ass holes come out for that shit giving them the excuse to become drunk , hostile and violent in public.
Some shots from our ride.

I guess with the legalization for medical purposes the Forest service had to modify there sign.

East Fork
Tim and Lazer never been on the East Fork trail and there were warm springs to be soaked in so with a little stretch of the true trail mileage it was easy convincing them. On the drive over I told them at least a 30 miler was in store for us with a dip in a natural warm spring...Sweet was the reply. In reality its a short ride but at least theres some dipping to be done at the turn around point. Lazer taking a look and finding out the real milage.
Some really pretty single track in the Jemez mountains.
School's in on Monday morning bright and early with film editing . Big change in life about to begin balancing school, work and riding. Some Band of Horses for ya ears.Band of Horses from Black Cab Sessions on Vimeo.
Some really pretty single track in the Jemez mountains.
Nice view to adjust your head set.
I didn't take any shots of the springs cause I completly spaced it out.

Big dnf on the BFL
I woke up on Saturday morning with the hair brained idea that I would go ride the Santa Fe Big Friggin loop. What was I thinking? NO training and riding only on weekends with the occasional week day after work ride.
It all started out pretty good. They had an option B to skip the ascent of Atalaya and hook up back on course along the Dale Ball's below it. So I took it,of course, being the out of shape dude.. I ended up in the lead ahead of everyone for the first 2 and a half hours. Then around The Borrego intersection Jens rode by me and 20 minutes later Isaac was there, laughing at me for skipping Atalaya and taking the B option.

Jens and Lenny leading the way with Isaac ,no handing it, giving me a shout out.Jens was the first to finish with Isaac on single speed not far behind finishing 2nd.
Last years SFBFL champs Dominic and Brent at the start.I spy a few heavy hitters/celebraties in this photo. But, I'm one not to name drop...
Isaac had a great ride and toasted the field on his single speed.
At the Top of Ski Santa Fe , I knew I had nothing left after 5 hours in the saddle and my back started to act up from the heavy pack .So I headed on home for some lunch and a beer at 2nd Street.
Always love the view from the top. I even ran into this guy , Chris ,before he carried on with the race heading down to rio en medio trail.
on the positive side it was a good training ride for the Taos Double Boundary
