Ack gotta go see the Quack.

Hope he has small hands. You know getting a check up and trying  to correctly describe, to the doc,  that funny feeling i get when climbing a rope up a tree.Wish me well, I get scared as shit before these visits to the Doc.Maybe I need a female doctor....hmmm
That Bush family has real class.

The tumble weed.

Another day and another road.Trying to get in decent shape so  instead of a suffering slog fest thru the woods  it becomes an enjoyable summer epic kind of ride..Tumble weed season is just starting. Some days are simply crazy trying to dodge the rolling tumbleweed .

Suffer you Fucker.

There will be fish and games aheadand a few empty miles of this

I need to ride on some dirt real soon cause I'm beginning to like this road thing too much.

Now that would be a shocker.pun intended.

I leave you with this little piece of wisdom.

Pronounced Te`suu key

New Mexico black top rides like Euro. pave
Was able to leave work early and hit the road out to Chupadero on Wednesday.Beautiful 50 degrees with very cold descents.Dropping into the village of Tesuque was my first real shocker on how cold the descents are going to be.Within 30 seconds I had a wicked ice cream headache. Some day when I Have a $1,000,000. I'm going to buy me a fixer upper in Tesuque. This stretch of the road with the trees creating a cave and the picket fence always reminds me of where it all started for me and my passion for cycling, in Upstate NY.Shidoni sculpture gardens and foundry is always a popular spot to take visitors. No dogs allowed !Guess I'll keep moving along.
Between Tesugue and the village of Chupadero,NM pretty much looks like this. The entrada to the montana's also known as the beginning of the dirt road to the Ski Santa Fe aka Pacheco Canyon road. Its going to be one hell of a snow melt this year and that will  make a good spring of  white water rafting ! Which, I said I'll never do again after the last experience.

Santa Fe plaza looking pretty dead on a March afternoon.

`St. Frances de Assisi Cathedral down town Santa Fe.Then up Canyon Road, you know the street if you have visited Santa Fe.Where most of the art galleries are located...Negotiating the streets of Santa Fe on bike.Come on just a little more to go and my reward is awaiting.

Ahh home with my  recovery drink.
Cheers.

3/3/10

love the natural color

Still winter in Santa Fe. Though, it will be warming up from here on out.The garden is still asleep.Work consists of building a table for my printer.I scored the wood from an old fence made out of rough sawn pine.I've also been pruning the dead branches out of the pinon trees that are in eye shot from the house and gardens. This means ther will be alot of firewood for next year and alot of chipping and shredding for the compost.Work, just another four letter word.

Drought/Cold tolerent Bamboo

I've been mostly riding the road with few dirt interruptions, hopefully this will change in the coming weeks.

The other day I hit up White Mesa

Sweet place to ride when the wind isn't a factor.I was able todo 2 loops before the weather started moving in.

I stopped and took a little break at this old abandoned house.I wonder what the people were like that use to live there.

But mostly its been road .I really enjoy the solitude and head space a good road ride can give me.And I just cann't wait to be able to get that on dirt.
